Linen Closet Makeover

March 13, 2007
We have a very small linen closet in our upstairs hallway. The closet right now has a few small shelves that do not go all the way across. With my passion for bed linens I need more shelf space. The closet is totally unorganized right now and everything is piled up. When we need to find sheets or a blanket everything has to come out of the closet.

I really would have liked to have the closet lined in cedar but soon realized it was not in our budget. Our carpenter will begin working on the closet within 2 weeks.

The linen closet is complete. After the wood was put in I realized it looked so plain. I needed to add color and selected a great Martha Stewart green. I really love her paint. After painting, I felt the closet needed a little more. I had some Cath Kidston wallpaper left from the bathroom and glued some into the door panels. I also painted a vintage picnic basket a soft pink for the floor. I will store all of my linen supplies in the basket such as linen sprays and sachets.

Total Cost for closet: $100.00
