How Taylor Scott Furniture is made:
The Frame
Kiln dried Northwest Alder wood. The wood is cut, shaped and sanded by master craftsman. Frames are assembled with double dowels, hardwood corner blocks, screws, glue and industrial staples. Each one of the quality frames comes with a lifetime warranty.
The Springs
Springs are hand set into the frame. The springs are hand set at 4-inch centers. Only tempered steel springs are used. Spring system also comes with a lifetime warranty.
The Bench
Using the old fashioned style, they bench upholster one piece at a time. The frame is placed on a bench where skilled upholsterers heavily pad the inside and outside with a cotton batting. Each frame is fully upholstered in 100% 12 oz. cotton duck fabric.
The Slip
All of the Taylor Scott fabrics are hot washed before they cut and sewn. This process allows you to wash the slip in your washer (please follow care tag). All seams are over locked. Over locking is a tight stitch applied to the edge of every open-ended piece of fabric. If you lift up the front kick panel of the skirt on the slips you will see four to six pieces of fabric that have been sewed together sealing every open edge to prevent unraveling while drying. They use Dupont thread and guarantee the seams with a two-year warranty.
The Fill
Taylor Scott only uses the finest fill available. Seat cushions are enveloped style; using the highest quality white foam (not yellow) the foam is surrounded with White Goose Down Blend. Back cushions are filled in White Goose Down Blend.
